Matjaž Brinovec

Matjaz began his dancing career at 7 years of age when he started with latin and ballroom dancing. In his 15 years of competing he won the national championship, represented his country in two ballroom world championships and performed in many international dancing competitions and tournaments.After leaving the competitive world of dancing, he began teaching and performing. He appeared in two seasons of »Dancing with the stars« and one season of »Slovakia's got talent«.

In 2001 he went to Los Angeles where he learned salsa which became one of his favourite dances. In later years he perfected his salsa dancing in New York and Florida while returning to L.A. almost every year.Matjaz is also a renouned teacher, choreographer and founder of Slovenia's best salsa performance group Caliente (1 st slovenian salsa festival, Salsa Power festival's, Salsa splash Graz, Salsa latina istriana …). His passion for the dance is also seen in his performances with Petra Pibernik who he's been dancing with since 2009

Petra Pibernik

Started dancing in 2002. In 2009 she gratuated from Slovenian National Ballet School. Since then she is dancing in Ballet school Pirueta in Ljubljana. She performed at Slovenian National Ballet School's annual performances. In 2007 she danced at the celebration of Slovenian National Day. She had several performances in Trieste - Italy, Gorica, Kamnik, Divača – Slovenia between 2003-2009 (cooperation between dance schools). In 2002, 2003 she attended Summer dance school in Maribor – Slovenia.

In cooperation with Slovenian Ballet artists Association she danced in Ballet Fairytale for children.In 2006 she started cooperating with dance instructor Matjaž Brinovec. She was dancing salsa in his dance group Caliente and together they have had several performances throughout Slovenia.

Since 2009 Petra and Matjaž are training and performing as a solo dance couple. They were performing and teaching salsa in Graz (Austria), 6. Salsa Latina Istriana in Pula (Croatia) and 5. Salsa congress in Rogaška Slatina (Slovenia).
