Being in the salsa business for many, many years she definitely belongs to old school - without being neither old nor old-fashioned. Among names like Seo Fernandez, Jorge Camagüey, Yanet Fuentes and Alberto Valdez, Barbara Jimenez is a part of the real elite of Cuban salsa. Barbara was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, and is living in Italy for more than 15 years. She studied music at the EVA (Escuela Vocacional de Arte) in Cuba and is at present working in the music business. In addition to her career as dancer and teacher she is currently recording her first solo album with her friend, producer Berna Jam
Alexander Carbo, born in Cuba, studied folklore and modern dances. After a couple of years he fell in love with the Afro Cuban dances so he took classes at the famous ENA (Academia Nazionale de Danza) in Havanna. Since 2001 he's been living in Italy and is one of the most famous dancers, teachers and choreographers. together with Barbara he makes a powerful duo of class, style and immeasurable dance quality and skills.
